Developing College Research Skills

Developing College Research Skills will emphasize the role of research in an academic setting and teach students how to become discriminating information consumers. The course aims to teach students how to apply their critical thinking skills in selecting, analyzing, evaluating, and presenting information. Specific attention will be given to search strategies and the role of digital tools in the research process.

Unit 1: Why Educate Ourselves?

During this unit we will cover a number of topics and gather a baseline of information literacy skills through a self paced, online skills test.
